Detection of the Vertebral Subluxation Complex:

When a vertebral joint becomes tight, misaligned, or moves out of its normal position, it is referred to in the chiropractic profession as the Vertebral Subluxation Complex (VSC). VSC can be caused by a wide range of issues ranging from a minor slip or bump to a car accident or any other trauma. When a vertebra is subluxated, it can put pressure on nerves, blood vessels and other surrounding structures.

Direct Digital X-Rays

We want all our current and future patients to fully understand why we use a digital x-ray machine. The office has housed their own personal digital machine to allow for quick and easy access to images, which allows a quicker turnaround when deciding an individual treatment plan. The x-ray is not a requirement to seek treatment, but it comes in handy when either the chiropractor or the patient needs to visually observe the spine.

The individual bones of the spine (called vertebrae) are held together by strong fibrous bands of tissue called ligaments.   1. Function—how well your joints move, muscle tone, ability to perform Activities of normal Daily Living (ADL), such as walking, lifting, bending to do dishes, run the vacuum, or bathe your kids.
  2. Neurological—how well the signal getting from the brain, through the spinal cord, out the nerves, and finally to all the parts of the body.
  3. Structural—the actual shape of the spine as measured on x-rays. (True Plane or Aligned X-rays)
